I've been a pro producer, studio engineer and vocal coach for many years and I'm passionate about making singers sound their best.

We work with backing tracks. When choosing your backing tracks, I strongly recommend that you choose the best quality possible, as no matter how good a vocalist you are, a bad quality track will affect the overall awesomeness of your finished demos.

There's a multitude of places online where you can search for and download high quality backing tracks, from as little as a few pounds. Once you find a track you like, you're welcome to send it in to me so I can have a listen, I'll let you know if the quality is good enough.
Have sheet music and need a pianist to record you a backing track?

At The Voice Reel Studio, we offer a full piano track recording service. Just send us your music, and we'll do the rest!
Again, the quality of your piano backing track is hugely important to the process. And here, it's not just about getting someone to play through your song for you. There's so much more to consider when having your piano backing tracks recorded.
The quality of the recording is of the utmost importance, a bad recording can seriously affect the overall sound of your finished demo. Also we sometimes see tracks that are 'bashed through' from start to finish. We understand that every song has light and shade, energy and subtlety, power and stillness.
The pianist we use to record your backing tracks is really fab. A fantastic MD and player from London's West End. For starters, she has a great sounding recording set-up – so your whole track sounds detailed, nuanced and professional from start to finish.
And here's the really important bit, we understand the DNA of your song and are sympathetic to its subtleties, it's ebs and flows, the whole feel of the piece. Allowing you to really live the song's emotions and show your very best performance.
We also offer a full instrumental backing track production service should you require.

Once you book a song package, I'll work closely with you in prep for your recording session. It's all about capturing your best possible vocal performance on the day. Your singing demo is your calling card to the industry, and it needs to really stand out. Thats what I do. I record, mix, and produce vocals with one thing mind – to make them shine and burst to the front of a mix, really grabbing the listener's attention, making you stand out from the crowd. I am passionate about producing tracks that suit each unique voice, there's no 'one sound fits all' approach here.

I've been working in voice production for nearly 30 years, as a live sound engineer and also studio based. I know (and love) voices. I'm a voice nerd. I know what makes them tick, and most of all I understand the sound and timbre of each lovely voice I work with.

You'll be singing into my prized possession - the legendary Neumann U87 microphone.
It's an industry standard mic that has been used on thousands of hit records since the 60s by artists such as Otis Redding and Nina Simone – right the way through to present day, used by Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Adele to name a few.
When we get into your recording session, I will be with you every step of the way. It'll be fun, no pressure and relaxed. I can give you vocal coaching when needed, both technically and also help you with microphone techniques should you be new to the recording environment.
